Jordkontakter

Jordkontakter, often referred to as earthing contacts or grounding contacts, are essential components within electrical systems designed to ensure safety. Their primary function is to establish a connection between electrical equipment and the earth, providing a low-resistance path for fault currents to dissipate. This prevents dangerous voltage buildup on the metal casings of appliances and machinery.

In many electrical outlets, the jordkontakt is a distinct terminal, typically shaped as a metal clip or a separate pin, that connects to the earth wire in the wiring.
