Jeonbuk

Jeonbuk is the common shorthand for Jeollabuk-do, a province in the Honam region of South Korea. Located in the southwest, it faces the Yellow Sea to the west and has Jeonju as its capital. The province covers a substantial area and hosts a population in the low millions. Its landscape includes coastal plains, river valleys such as the Geum River system, and inland mountains, contributing to a temperate climate with distinct seasons.

The economy of Jeonbuk is diversified, with agriculture, fishing, and food processing playing traditional roles, complemented by manufacturing and logistics in urban centers. Coastal cities like Gunsan and Iksan host industrial activities and port facilities supporting regional trade.
