Jamsetjee
Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy (1783–1859) was a prominent Indian Parsi merchant and philanthropist based in Bombay (now Mumbai). He rose to become one of the wealthiest merchants in western India during the early 19th century and is remembered for substantial charitable giving and public-spirited projects. In 1857, he became the first Indian to be conferred a hereditary title, being created a baronet by Queen Victoria.
