Jättiläisplaneetat
Jättiläisplaneetat, known in English as gas giants or Jovian planets, are planets in a solar system that are composed primarily of hydrogen and helium. They are significantly larger and more massive than terrestrial planets. Our own solar system has four such planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Jupiter and Saturn are the largest, with their masses being hundreds of times that of Earth. Uranus and Neptune are considerably smaller but still vastly larger than terrestrial planets.
These planets are characterized by their lack of a solid surface, instead possessing a dense atmosphere that
The formation of jättiläisplaneetat is thought to occur further from the star in a solar system, where
