Istamoq

Istamoq is a verb in Uzbek that means to want or to desire. It is used to express desire for a person, object, or action and is typically followed by a direct object marked with the accusative suffix, such as -ni or -ni-lar, to indicate the definite object. The infinitive form ends with -moq, a common marker for Uzbek verb infinitives. The verb is part of the Turkic language family and has cognates in related languages, for example Turkish istemek.

Grammar and usage notes emphasize that istamoq is transitive and combines with subject pronouns and object phrases to form a complete clause.
