Isimba
Isimba is a hydroelectric dam located in Uganda, a country in East Africa. The dam is situated on the shoals of the Victoria Nile, approximately 50 kilometers downstream from the Owen Falls Dam. It is part of the Victoria Nile Hydroelectric Power Project and was commissioned in 2019. The Isimba Dam project aims to contribute to the improved reliable electricity supply in Uganda by generating enough power for the national grid. The completed dam is expected to produce 183 megawatts of electricity, thus increasing the overall electricity production in the country.
