Ioulida

Ioulida, also transliterated Ioulis, is the capital and main town of Kea (Tzia), a Greek island in the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. It is situated on a hill in the island’s interior, rising several hundred meters above sea level, and offers expansive views over the surrounding landscape.

The town occupies the site of the ancient city of Ioulis and is noted for its traditional Cycladic character. Its streets are narrow and winding, lined with whitewashed houses, stone masonry, and architectural details such as arches and wooden balconies. The built environment reflects a long history of settlement and adaptation, giving Ioulida a distinctive, timeless atmosphere.
