Integroimisvakiota, often denoted by the letter C, is a term that appears when performing indefinite integration in calculus. It represents an arbitrary constant that arises because the derivative of a constant is always zero. Therefore, when we reverse the differentiation process, we cannot determine the original constant term.

For any function f(x), its indefinite integral, denoted as ∫f(x) dx, represents a family of functions whose derivative is f(x). If F(x) is one such function, then F(x) + C, where C is any real number, is also a valid antiderivative because d/dx(F(x) + C) = d/dx(F(x)) + d/dx(C) = f(x) + 0 = f(x).

The integration constant C highlights that indefinite integration yields a general solution, not a unique one. In many practical applications, such as solving differential equations, the specific value of the integration constant is determined by initial or boundary conditions provided for the problem. Without these conditions, the integration constant remains an undetermined value. It is crucial to include the integration constant in all indefinite integrals to represent the complete set of antiderivatives.
