Innstraums

Innstraums is a term used in some geological contexts, particularly in Scandinavia, to describe a type of narrow, glacially-carved inlet. These formations are typically found along coastlines that have been heavily shaped by past glacial activity. Innstraums are characterized by their steep sides, often rocky and precipitous, and their elongated, winding shape, extending inland from the sea. The depth of an innstraum can vary significantly, but they are generally deeper than a typical bay or cove.
