Injectare
Injectare refers to the process of introducing a substance into something, typically a liquid or a solid, by piercing it with a sharp instrument. This is commonly associated with medical procedures where medication or fluids are administered into the body. Needles attached to syringes are the most frequent tools used for injection, allowing for precise dosage and controlled delivery. The route of injection can vary depending on the substance and its intended effect, including intravenous (into a vein), intramuscular (into a muscle), subcutaneous (under the skin), or intradermal (into the skin). Beyond medicine, the term can also describe the introduction of materials into other systems, such as injecting fuel into an engine or injecting polymers into molds. The primary goal of injection is usually to bypass natural barriers or to deliver a substance directly to a specific site for absorption or effect.
