Infrarotdetektion refers to the process of identifying and measuring infrared radiation. Infrared radiation, also known as IR radiation, is a type of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths longer than visible light and shorter than microwaves. It is invisible to the human eye but can be felt as heat.
