Indefinitität refers to a linguistic concept concerning the lack of specificity or definiteness. In grammar, indefinite determiners and pronouns, such as "some," "any," "a," or "one," are used to refer to non-specific or unknown persons or things. This contrasts with definite determiners like "the" or "this," which point to specific entities.

The philosophical concept of indefiniteness explores ambiguity and vagueness. It suggests that some concepts or statements may not have precise boundaries or clear-cut definitions, leading to uncertainty in their application. This can manifest in various fields, including logic, where imprecise predicates can lead to paradoxes.
