Imperatywem

Imperatywem is the instrumental case form of the Polish noun imperatyw, a term used in linguistics to denote the imperative mood. The imperative mood (tryb rozkazujący) is the grammatical category used to express commands, requests, or exhortations. In Polish, imperatywy are most commonly realized in verb forms of the second person singular or plural, while polite requests may be phrased with proszę and an infinitive.

In scholarly writing, imperatyw refers to the mood itself as a linguistic category.
