Imperatiivvormid

Imperatiivvormid, often translated as imperative mood, are verb forms used to express commands, requests, suggestions, or prohibitions. In Estonian, the imperative mood is primarily used to address one or more people directly. The form of the imperative often depends on the number of people being addressed and the verb itself.

For the singular imperative, the stem of the verb is typically used, though certain verbs may have variations. For example, with the verb "lugema" (to read), the singular imperative is "loe" (read!). When addressing multiple people, a suffix is usually added to the verb stem. For instance, the plural imperative of "lugema" is "lugegem" (let's read / read, plural!).
