Ilmoittajaa

Ilmoittaja is a Finnish term for a person who makes an official notification or report to authorities or organizations. The word covers both private individuals and organizations that provide information about a situation that may require assessment, investigation, or action. The form ilmoittajaa is the partitive singular of ilmoittaja, used when the person is the object of a verb such as “antaa” or “tarvita.”

For example, in criminal justice, a citizen who reports a crime to the police is the ilmoittaja, and the report triggers official procedures.
