Illés

Illés was a Hungarian rock band formed in Budapest in 1965. It emerged as one of the most influential acts in the country’s popular music scene during the late 1960s and 1970s, playing a key role in the development of modern Hungarian rock.

The group was founded by Levente Szörényi and János Bródy, who became its principal songwriters and vocalists. Over the years the lineup changed, but Szörényi and Bródy remained central figures.
