Ienatjåkkas
Ienatjåkkas is a mountain located in northern Sweden, within the Sarek National Park. It is situated in the municipality of Jokkmokk in Norrbotten County. The mountain is part of the vast and rugged interior of Sarek, a region characterized by its glaciers, peaks, and wilderness. Ienatjåkkas is not a particularly prominent peak in terms of sheer height compared to some of the higher mountains in Sarek, but it contributes to the dramatic landscape of the national park. Sarek National Park is known for its challenging terrain and is a popular destination for experienced hikers and mountaineers who seek remote and wild environments. Access to Ienatjåkkas and the surrounding areas typically involves significant trekking, often without marked trails or facilities. The remoteness of the region means that visitors must be self-sufficient and well-prepared for all conditions. The name "Ienatjåkkas" is of Sami origin, reflecting the indigenous people who have inhabited this region for centuries. Like much of Sarek, Ienatjåkkas is a place of natural beauty and ecological significance, preserved within the national park for its wilderness value.
