Idegvezetéses

Idegvezetéses is a Hungarian term that translates to "nerve conduction" or "nerve impulse transmission." It refers to the process by which electrical and chemical signals travel along nerve cells, or neurons, to communicate information throughout the body. The transmission of a nerve impulse, also known as an action potential, begins when a neuron is stimulated. This stimulation causes a change in the electrical charge across the neuron's cell membrane, leading to the influx of positively charged ions. This rapid change in membrane potential propagates along the axon, the long, slender projection of a neuron.

At the end of the axon, at a synapse, the electrical signal is converted into a chemical signal.
