ISBNDOI is a standardized system designed to uniquely identify and facilitate the management of digital objects, particularly digital publications such as e-books, research papers, and other scholarly or commercial digital content. It combines the functionalities of the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), aiming to streamline the cataloging, citation, and retrieval processes across diverse digital platforms.

The ISBN, established in 1970, is a numeric identifier primarily assigned to books and other print publications to facilitate their commercial distribution and inventory management. In contrast, the DOI, developed by the International DOI Foundation in the late 1990s, provides a persistent, actionable link to digital content, ensuring long-term access even if the location of the digital object changes.
