Hüdropooniline

Hüdropooniline refers to a method of growing plants without soil, using mineral nutrient solutions dissolved in water. In this system, plant roots are supported by an inert medium such as perlite, rockwool, clay pebbles, or even just suspended in the nutrient-rich water itself. The absence of soil eliminates the need for weeding, pests commonly found in soil, and soil-borne diseases.

Hydroponic systems deliver nutrients directly to the plant roots, allowing for faster growth and potentially higher yields compared to traditional soil-based agriculture. Different types of hydroponic systems exist, including Deep Water Culture (DWC), Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), drip systems, ebb and flow, and aeroponics. Each method varies in how the nutrient solution is delivered and how the plant roots are supported.

The water used in hydroponic systems can be recirculated, which can lead to significant water savings. However, precise control of nutrient levels, pH, and temperature is crucial for successful hydroponic cultivation. This method is increasingly being adopted for commercial agriculture, urban farming, and even in home gardening due to its efficiency and controlled environment capabilities. It allows for year-round production regardless of external weather conditions.
