Hypoteesissa

Hypoteesissa is the inessive singular form of the Finnish noun hypoteesi, meaning "in a hypothesis" or "within a hypothesis." It is used to indicate location or context inside a hypothesis, for example when discussing what is assumed or stated within a given theoretical frame. The form is common in academic writing and linguistic discussions of Finnish case use.

Morphology and spelling are typical of Finnish noun inflection. The base hypoteesi receives the inessive suffix -ssa/-ssä, and because hypoteesi ends with front vowels, the resulting form is hypoteesissa.
