Hurriganes

Hurriganes is a Finnish rock band formed in Helsinki in 1971. The group combined rock and roll and blues influences with a direct, guitar-forward sound and a strong emphasis on live performance. The band is best known for its dynamic stage energy and for helping popularize a raw, rhythm-driven style within Finnish rock.

Formed around drummer and frontman Remu Aaltonen, Hurriganes developed a devoted following in Finland during the mid to late 1970s. They released several studio and live albums that showcased a stripped-down, high-energy approach and solidified their position as one of the country’s most recognizable rock acts of the era.

Over the years the lineup underwent changes, and the group experienced periods of activity and inactivity.
