Hrafnsmál
Hrafnsmál, meaning "Raven's Song" or "Raven's Lay," is a skaldic poem attributed to the Norwegian chieftain Thjálfi. It is a fragmentary work, with only a small portion surviving. The poem is notable for its vivid descriptions of battle and its use of kennings, a characteristic feature of Old Norse poetry. The surviving verses are believed to be from the late 9th or early 10th century, making it one of the older examples of skaldic verse.
