Homolje

Homolje is a mountainous region located in eastern Serbia, in the northeastern part of the country. It is part of the Carpathian-Balkan mountain range and is known for its rugged terrain, dense forests, and rich biodiversity. The region is characterized by rolling hills, deep valleys, and clear mountain streams. The highest peak in Homolje is the Vranj Kamen, reaching an elevation of 1,150 meters. The landscape is predominantly covered by beech and oak forests, with some coniferous trees at higher altitudes.

The area is sparsely populated, with small villages scattered throughout the valleys. The local economy has traditionally been based on agriculture, livestock farming, and forestry.
