Hitsisula
Hitsisula is a small, uninhabited island located in the Gulf of Finland, off the coast of Estonia. The island is part of the larger archipelago known as the Moonsund Islands, which are characterized by their rugged, rocky terrain and numerous small islets. Hitsisula itself is a rocky outcrop, with no significant vegetation or permanent structures. The island is notable for its birdlife, particularly the breeding colonies of various seabird species, including gulls and puffins. It is also a popular destination for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts due to its remote location and relatively undisturbed natural environment. The island is managed by the Estonian Nature Conservation Centre, which oversees its protection and conservation. Access to Hitsisula is restricted to authorized personnel and researchers to preserve its natural state.
