Herkistetty

Herkistetty is a Finnish adjective formed as the past participle of the verb herkistää, meaning to sensitize or make more sensitive. As an adjective, herkistetty describes something that has undergone a process that increases its responsiveness or reactivity to stimuli.

In practice, the term is used in several fields. In medical or biological contexts, a herkistetty immune response or herkistetty organism refers to heightened sensitivity to a substance or antigen, often after prior exposure, vaccination, or treatment.
