Henryféle
Henryféle is a traditional Hungarian folk dance that originated in the central and western regions of the country, particularly in the counties of Veszprém, Somogy, and Baranya. The dance is named after the Hungarian nobleman and poet, István Gyöngyösi (1813–1896), who was known by the pseudonym "Henry" (Henrik) in his literary works. Gyöngyösi popularized the dance in the mid-19th century as part of his efforts to revive and preserve Hungarian cultural heritage during a period of national revival.
Henryféle is characterized by its lively, rhythmic steps and intricate footwork, often performed in a circle
The dance is commonly performed at folk festivals, cultural events, and traditional celebrations, where it serves
While Henryféle is most strongly associated with the regions where it originated, its influence has spread
