Hawzahs
A Hawza is a traditional Islamic seminary, primarily found in Shia Islam. These institutions serve as centers for religious education and scholarship, where students, known as talib, study Islamic theology, jurisprudence, ethics, and other religious sciences. The curriculum typically progresses through various stages, culminating in the attainment of an ijazah (license) which signifies the student's qualification to teach, issue fatwas (legal opinions), and lead congregational prayers.
