Hashimites
The Hashimites are a clan descended from Hashim ibn Abd Manaf, a great-grandfather of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. This lineage is considered one of the most noble in Arab history. The term "Hashimite" is most famously associated with the Hashemite dynasty, which has ruled several Arab kingdoms. The most prominent of these is the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
