Harzlowland is a fictional country located on the continent of Aethelgard, a landmass in the southern hemisphere. Its geography is characterized by a temperate climate, with a long coastline along the Azure Sea to the west and a rugged mountain range, the Spine of the World, forming its eastern border. The interior is a mix of rolling plains, deciduous forests, and several major river systems, the most prominent being the Great Silvan River.

The country is known for its rich mineral deposits, particularly iron and coal, which have historically fueled its industrial development. Agriculture is also a significant sector, with fertile plains supporting extensive grain and livestock farming. Harzlowland's population is diverse, with a majority of its citizens identifying as Harzlow, a Germanic-speaking ethnic group. Minority populations include the coastal dwelling Marini and the mountain dwelling Kaelen.
