Hapettimen
Hapettimen is a term used in chemistry to denote oxidizing agents. An oxidizing agent is a substance that accepts electrons from another substance during a redox reaction, becoming reduced while the other reactant is oxidized. Because hapettimen facilitate oxidation, they are often strong oxidizers with high redox potentials and can generate reactive oxygen species. Not all hapettimen release free oxygen gas, but all function to increase the oxidation state of other species.
Common examples include molecular oxygen (O2), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), permanganate ions (MnO4−, as in potassium permanganate),
Handling hapettimen requires caution. They can be highly reactive and may ignite or detonate when in contact
