Halfrhymes
A halfrhyme, also known as slant rhyme, near rhyme, imperfect rhyme, or off rhyme, is a type of rhyme that involves words with similar but not identical sounds. In a halfrhyme, the final consonant sounds are the same, but the vowel sounds differ, or vice versa. For example, "shape" and "keep" create a halfrhyme because they share the "p" consonant sound but have different vowel sounds. Conversely, "soul" and "hold" share the "ol" vowel sound but have different consonant sounds.
Halfrhymes are often used in poetry and song lyrics to create a subtler, less predictable rhyming effect
