Hagerman

Hagerman is a small city in Gooding County, Idaho, United States. It lies in the Hagerman Valley along the Snake River in southern Idaho and serves as a local center for agriculture and related services to nearby farms and ranches.

The area is best known for the Hagerman Fossil Beds, a national monument preserving a diverse assemblage of late Pliocene to early Pleistocene fossils. The site is notable for the Hagerman horse, Equus simplicidens, one of the earliest known horses documented in North America. The Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument is administered by the National Park Service and offers fossil quarries, interpretive trails, and educational programs for visitors and researchers.
