Hagelstormar
Hagelstormar, or hailstorms, are a type of severe thunderstorm characterized by the production of hailstones. These hailstones are lumps of ice that fall from the sky. Hail forms within the updraft of a cumulonimbus cloud. As water droplets are carried upward, they freeze and collect supercooled water, growing larger with each circulation within the storm. When the hailstones become too heavy for the updraft to support, they fall to the ground.
