Hadassahs
Hadassah is a women's Zionist organization and the largest women's organization in the United States. Founded in 1912 by Henrietta Szold, its initial mission was to provide medical and public health services in Palestine, then under Ottoman rule. The name "Hadassah" is a Hebrew name for the biblical Queen Esther, who was known for her courage and advocacy for her people.
