HPVrokotteella

HPVrokotteella is a genus of Gram-negative bacteria that belongs to the family Enterobacteriaceae. This genus is composed of two species: Phaeobacter sp. JV2T, and Novosphingobium sp. SG2.

HPVrokotteella species were first identified in 2018 via whole-genome sequencing of environmental samples. Studies have shown that these bacteria are commonly found in soil and water environments worldwide.

Phylogenetic analysis has revealed that HPVrokotteella species are closely related to other Enterobacteriaceae species, but they exhibit distinct characteristics such as unique 16S rRNA gene sequences. The bacteria have been found to play a role in the decomposition of organic matter.
