Gördülelemeket

Gördülelemeket, often translated as "rolling elements" or "rolling bodies," is a Hungarian term referring to the essential components within bearings that enable rotational motion by reducing friction. These elements are typically spherical (balls) or cylindrical (rollers) in shape.

The primary function of gördülelemeket is to separate the inner and outer races of a bearing, allowing one to rotate freely relative to the other with minimal resistance. As the bearing rotates, these elements roll between the races, distributing the load and converting sliding friction into rolling friction, which is significantly lower.

Different types of gördülelemeket are employed depending on the specific bearing design and application requirements. Ball bearings utilize spherical balls, which are well-suited for high-speed applications and can handle both radial and axial loads to some extent. Roller bearings, on the other hand, use cylindrical rollers, which have a larger contact area and are therefore better equipped to handle heavier radial loads. Other variations include needle rollers (thin, long cylinders) and tapered rollers, each offering unique load-carrying and operational characteristics.
