Gymamoebia

Gymnamoebia, also known as Gymnamoeba or Gymnamoebia, is a surrealistic subphylum within the kingdom of Amoebozoa. This subphylum encompasses a group of amoeboid organisms that exhibit various characteristics such as streaming movement and an ability to engulf food particles. Gymnamoebia can be found in a wide range of environments, from freshwater habitats to soil and sand.

Gymnamoebia organisms, often referred to as testate amoebae, are characterized by a permanent test or shell that envelops their protoplasmic mass. This is in contrast to some other amoeboid organisms, which may shed or fragment their test. The tests of Gymnamoebia are typically made of silica-rich materials and can serve as a protective casing as well as a support for the organism's structural form.
