Gwiadzistych

Gwiadzistych is the genitive plural form of the Polish adjective gwiaździsty, meaning star-shaped or stellate. The base form gwiaździsty is formed from the noun gwiazda (star) with the adjectival suffix -dzisty, and it denotes a shape with radiating arms or a star-like outline.

Gwiaździsty is used across scientific and descriptive registers to characterize objects with star-like geometry. In botany and zoology, for instance, one speaks of gwiaździste liście (stellate leaves) or gwiaździste komórki (stellate cells). In geology and crystallography, substances may be described as gwiaździste or gwiaździstych kryształów, the latter being the genitive plural form used when describing edges, faces, or features of stellate crystals, e.g., krawędzie gwiaździstych kryształów.
