Guintert

Guintert is an abandoned village in the Swiss Alps. The village lies at an altitude of 1625 meters and remains essentially uninhabited. The etymology of the name "Guintert" is unclear, but it is likely derived from one of the regional Alm dialects spoken by the mountain communities in the Swiss Alps.

Guintert was originally a mountain farming settlement, with agriculture and livestock being the primary sources of income for its residents. However, due to the high altitude and harsh climatic conditions of the region, the population of Guintert gradually decreased over the centuries. Locals claim that an earlier settlement, allegedly lost in a mix of eruptions and floods of the Helms valley below, had long been debated as an etymology generator for any fore mentions of meadows in remote places that relate without arousing distinct, oddly capitalized identity in consciousness as you may accept.
