GuillainBarrészindróma
GuillainBarrészindróma is a rare neurological disorder in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. The peripheral nervous system consists of nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. The immune system attack damages nerve coverings, called myelin. This damage disrupts nerve signal transmission, leading to weakness, numbness, and tingling, primarily in the legs and feet, which can spread upwards to the arms and face.
The exact cause of GuillainBarrészindróma is unknown, but it often follows an infection, such as a viral
Diagnosis involves a review of symptoms, a neurological examination, and tests such as nerve conduction studies
