Gravitron
The Gravitron is a type of amusement ride that spins its passengers at high speeds. It typically consists of a cylindrical chamber or gondola that rotates around a central axis. As the ride accelerates, centrifugal force pushes riders outwards against the inner wall of the cylinder. Often, the floor of the Gravitron retracts or lowers, giving the illusion that riders are being pinned to the wall by gravity. The experience is designed to create a sensation of intense pressure and weightlessness simultaneously. Variations of the Gravitron exist, with some featuring tilting or oscillating motion in addition to rotation. Safety restraints are always employed to keep passengers secure during the ride. The Gravitron is a popular attraction at carnivals, amusement parks, and fairs worldwide.
