Graths are a sapient species native to the river systems of the planet Virelia, in the Amparian Expanse. First described in 2263 exploration logs, they are notable for their semi-aquatic adaptation, long-term social organization, and elaborate maritime technology.

Physically, Graths average 1.3 to 1.7 meters in height. They have smooth bluish-gray skin, webbed extremities, a lightweight dorsal crest, and large eyes adapted to murky water. They possess acute auditory and tactile senses; they navigate with a form of echolocation used underwater.
