Gradõns

Gradõns is a fictional planetary system located in the outer reaches of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way galaxy. It is characterized by a single, G-type main-sequence star, also named Gradõns, and a complex planetary system comprising several terrestrial and gas giant planets. The innermost planet, Xylos, is a tidally locked rocky world with extreme temperature variations between its sun-facing and dark sides. Further out lies Veridia, a lush, temperate planet supporting a diverse biosphere and a sentient, silicon-based species known as the Vesh.

Beyond Veridia, the asteroid belt of Korinthia orbits Gradõns, remnants of a shattered protoplanet. The gas giants of Theron and Jormungand dominate the outer system, each possessing numerous moons, some of which exhibit signs of subsurface liquid water. The Vesh, having achieved interstellar travel centuries ago, consider the Gradõns system their ancestral homeworld. Their society is deeply connected to the ecological balance of Veridia. Exploratory missions from other galactic civilizations have noted the system's rich biodiversity and the Vesh's advanced, yet non-intrusive, technological development. The scientific community's interest in Gradõns is primarily focused on the unique biochemistry of the Vesh and the potential for extraterrestrial life on other moons within the system.
