Gradientenfüllung

Gradientenfüllung, also known as gradient fill or color gradient, is a graphical technique used in digital art and design to create a smooth transition between two or more colors. Instead of a solid, uniform color, a gradient fill gradually changes hue, saturation, or lightness across an object or area. This creates a visual effect that can mimic natural phenomena like light reflection, depth, or a sense of volume.

There are several types of gradient fills. Linear gradients transition colors along a straight line, which can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. Radial gradients transition colors outward from a central point in a circular or elliptical pattern. Angular or conical gradients transition colors in a sweep around a central point, resembling a cone. Reflected gradients are similar to linear gradients but mirror the color progression on either side of a central line.

Gradient fills are widely used in graphic design for backgrounds, buttons, icons, and text effects. They can add visual interest, enhance perceived depth, and create a more sophisticated aesthetic. Many design software applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and GIMP, offer tools for creating and customizing gradient fills, allowing users to control the colors, their positions, and the type of transition. The precise control over color blending makes gradient fills a versatile tool for achieving diverse visual outcomes.
