The Golgiresidents are the inhabitants of the Golgir region, a coastal and inland area in the southern Veridian mainland. They form a distinct cultural group defined by a shared language, traditions, and history, and they are concentrated in several urban centers as well as rural communities across the region.

Geography and demography: The Golgir region encompasses lowland river valleys, rolling hills, and a network of ports along the Golgi Bay. Populations are concentrated in major port cities, with numerous smaller towns and rural settlements in the interior. The Golgiri population is diverse in ethnicity and occupation, but remains linked by linguistic and cultural ties.

History: Ethnogenesis occurred in ancient times as local communities settled the Golgir lands. By the medieval period they formed regional confederations and developed maritime trade networks. Integration into the Veridian state in the 19th and 20th centuries shaped administrative structures while preserving local institutions.

Language and culture: The Golgiri language (Golgiri) is the customary tongue, with several dialects. Cultural life emphasizes oral literature, music, crafts, and seafaring traditions. Cuisine features fish, seaweed, grains, and dairy products. Annual festivals celebrate harvests and sea rites.

Economy and society: The economy centers on fishing, agriculture, and trade, with growing services and light manufacturing in urban districts. Local governance is managed through municipal councils, with traditional authorities in rural areas and active civil-society organizations, including craft guilds, contributing to communal life.
