Glükózszeszttel is a Hungarian term that translates to "glucose test" in English. It refers to a medical diagnostic procedure used to measure the level of glucose, or sugar, in a person's blood. This test is crucial for diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as diabetes mellitus, impaired glucose tolerance, and gestational diabetes.

There are several types of glucose tests. The fasting plasma glucose (FPG) test requires the patient to abstain from food and drinks for at least eight hours prior to the blood draw. The oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) involves measuring blood glucose levels at multiple intervals after consuming a standardized sugary drink.
