Gjødselpåføringen refers to the process of applying fertilizer to soil or plants to provide essential nutrients. This practice is fundamental to agriculture, horticulture, and lawn care, aiming to enhance plant growth, yield, and overall health. Fertilizers contain macronutrients such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), as well as micronutrients like iron, manganese, and zinc, which are crucial for various plant physiological processes.

Modern agricultural practices increasingly utilize precision application techniques, employing GPS technology and variable rate applicators to deliver nutrients exactly where and when they are needed, optimizing efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
