Geyre

Geyre is a village located in the province of Aydın in western Turkey. It is situated near the ruins of the ancient city of Aphrodisias, a significant archaeological site known for its well-preserved Roman structures and its association with the cult of Aphrodite. The modern village of Geyre itself is largely built on and around the ancient city, with many of its houses and public spaces incorporating salvaged marble and architectural fragments from Aphrodisias.
