Geordi La Forge is a fictional character in the Star Trek franchise. He appears as a Starfleet officer and engineer who serves as chief engineer aboard the starship USS Enterprise-D in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987–1994). He is portrayed by actor LeVar Burton.
